Midcentury Modern in Richmond Highlands

This project began with a 1955 midcentury modern rambler with many of the classic details one would expect for this era: central staircase, brick cladding, multiple old growth trees in the landscaping, etc. Our conceptual design approach was to preserve all the quintessential midcentury modern elements that made this property unique, while modernizing everything for function, durability and aesthetic appeal. It was a full gut, down to studs remodel with a small but critical addition to get the space necessary for the primary suite.
